Plain Text
Templates are created based on text and multimedia elements, but what happens if these elements can’t be downloaded by contact settings? In this case, the most effective strategy is to create a plain text version as an alternative to the HTML content.
Compatibility:
- With less popular email clients or very old versions
- Old devices with poor rendering capabilities
- Wearables: smart watches/devices don’t normally support email HTML and will only show the text version
Deliverability. Most anti-spam filters check the content of a message, and if the newsletter includes a plain text version, it will assume you have no information to hide.
Accessibility. Plain text is also created with email reading software in mind (such as VoiceOver), which people with visual impairments use to read their emails.
Attachments
With the Attachments feature, you can attach a file to the campaign, which we don’t recommend exceeding 100KB in size. As email campaigns with attachments can trigger anti-spam filters, which will affect their probability of reaching inboxes, we recommend avoiding this option wherever possible.
