In this section, administrators can enable 2-step verification and configure additional security settings for the account.
To access the security settings:
1. To access your account, click on the username in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
2. A drop-down menu will appear, displaying the option 'My MDirector account'.
3. You’ll now be able to click on the "Security options" section:
4. In this section, you will be able to modify your security settings.
These are the different security features you can configure for your account from here:
Activate two-step verification (two-factor authentication)
Each time the user accesses the platform, they receive a temporary code valid for 30 minutes, which must be entered on a second screen. It can also be configured to remember the same device for 7 days by selecting that option on the login screen when prompted for the code.
Activate lockout after exceeding incorrect login attempts
You can set a maximum number of login attempts for a specific period by entering the number of attempts in the "Incorrect login attempts limit" field and the corresponding time in the "Maximum time for consecutive attempts" field. If the number of allowed attempts is exceeded, the affected user will be deactivated and will not be able to access again until an administrator unlocks them from the "Users" menu. If there is only one user in the account or if the deactivated user is the only administrator, you will need to contact support@mdirector.com. If you want to manage your account's user roles, here is how to do it and what permissions each role has: https://mdtr.io/KHNnm
Activate password expiration
By enabling this option, all users of the account will need to renew their password after the time specified in days in the "Time to force password change" field from the last change made.
