(Available only for Premium accounts)
If you have a Premium account and you want to add CC and BCC in your emails, you only need to request the activation of this feature to the support team by sending an email to soporte@mdirector.com.
These copies work at the subaccount level, and therefore when requesting it you also need to facilitate the name or number of the subaccount in which you want to activate it.
Once this function is activated in your subaccount, you will be able to adjust its settings in the general dashboard of your campaign:
By default, all campaigns are sent without CC / BCC, and this feature is only added when you fill out this field with the emai address you want to be added as a copy. You may do so in 2 ways:
1. Add an email address (or multiple ones, separated by comas) as a copy. In this case, a copy of the email will be sent to this address (or these addresses) for each contact to which the campaign is sent.
Example 1:
List 1
Contacts X1,X2,X3
CC= Contacto V
Summary: 3 contacts + 1 CC contact
6 emails sent= 1 for each contact (3) and 3 to the copied contact (3).
Example 2
List 1
Contacts X1,X2,X3
CC= Contact V, Contact P
Summary: 3 contacts + 2 CC contacts
9 emails sent= 1 email for each contact (3) and 3 three for each copied contact (3x2).
2. Add a personalised field with different email addresses for each contact.
For example:
List 1
Contact X1
Personalised field email CC: Contact V
Contacto X2
Personalised field email CC: Contacto P
Contacto X3
Personalised field email CC: Contacto Z
Summary: 3 contacts + 3 different CC contacts
6 emails sent= 1 for each contact (3) and 1 to each copied contact (3). (If a given contact does not have the personalised field filled, it will not be taken into account).
IMPORTANT:
Before including an email address as a copy, you have to consider that:
- The number of emails sent will be doubled / tripled for each contact (depending on how many copied addresses the campaign has).
For example, if you set up a campaign with 200 contacts with 1 CC address, the campaign will have 400 emails sent (200 to the 200 contacts and 200 to the CC address). If you add 4 contacts as a copy, it will send those original 200 emails + (200 x 4 CC addresses) = 1200 emails sent.
- Because you are multiplying the number of emails that will be sent, the campaign may be slowed down.
- Those addresses that will receive the copies must be prepared to host this volume of emails, so that their inbox will not be saturated or collapsed.
We recommend that you evaluate the need of sending copies of every email in a campaign, or if the goal can be achieved similarly by looking at the campaign statistics.
