Within the edit of an email campaign, at the end of step 5, there are two options to be able to exclude contacts from an email campaign or choose a fixed number of random contacts from the selected list(s).
EXCLUSIONS
Step one:
To exclude contacts from a list when we are going to send an email campaign, the first thing to do is to create a list (https://mdtr.io/WNEpt) with the contacts you want to exclude or have a csv file with the contacts encoded according to MD5 or SHA256 standards.
Second step:
We will proceed to the creation of the campaing (https://mdtr.io/mTa3c) in the usual way until we reach the step "5. Contacts", where we will load the list to which we want to make the shipment.
Step three:
Select the list of contacts to be excluded by clicking on "Exclude Lists" :
By selecting "+Add list" you can select the list that was previously created with the contacts to exclude.
By selecting the option "Add MD5/SHA256 file" (https://mdtr.io/l93nx) you can manually import the contacts encoded in MD5 or SHA256 or you can select them from a list of files if they have been previously added to your FTP account in a folder named "md5exclusions".
CROSS CONTACT LISTS
Allows creating an intersection of contacts from all selected lists. In other words, it sends messages only to those contacts that are common to all the lists. It is worth explaining that the lists selected from the "SELECT CONTACTS" button in "1. SELECT CONTACTS FOR SENDING" will first be combined with each other. Meanwhile, those added from the "+ADD LIST" button in 3. will intersect with each other and also with the sum of the previous step. This function is also available for lists encoded in MD5 or SHA256.
RANDOM GROUPING OF CONTACTS
If you want to select a set of contacts randomly, use the option "Randomly group contacts" by selecting an exact number from each of the chosen lists (you can add a group from each one) or a number of contacts from all of them.
To take into account:
The number of unique contacts calculated by MDirector also takes into consideration the exclusions, intersections, and groupings that we have applied. It is the final number of contacts to whom the delivery will be made, considering all the introduced variables and eliminating duplicate contacts.
