Editing Transactional Templates

María Rico

With the orange button that appears in the templates section you can create a new template, either by importing an html (editable with our WYSIWYG editor) or by using a basic template (editable with our Drag & Drop editor).

Regardless of the editor, all templates include the following functions at the top:

  • A button to make a test submission.
  • A button to save the template
  • ID: the alphanumeric string that identifies the template so that it can be called by programming via API or SMTP.
  • Name: to identify the template
  • Subject: to indicate a default subject, although programmatically in the API call it can be changed for each transactional shipment to be made.
  • Space to import another HTML and change the current one.

Within the content of the template you can customize any part by including a variable in square brackets, which will later be replaced by the value given in the call, for example:

Dear [Name] [Last_Name],

Your latest purchase [PurchaseNumber] has the following delivery date:
[DeliveryDate]

...

Once you have edited the template, you must click "Save" for the changes to be applied. Afterwards, you can click on "Return" to go back to the list of available templates.

Once you have the templates ready, you can start scheduling shipments.
