Add entry point to a Marketing Automation flow: a contact is added to a list

If we want the event that triggers a flow to be that a contact is added to a specific contact list, we select the entry point "is added to a list."

In case of doing it via API, selecting this entry point will start the automation when a contact confirms their subscription through this method.

Once this entry point is selected, an options window will open where you can choose the list that includes the contacts that can be part of the flow. If you want this to apply to contacts from multiple lists, you should create an entry point for each one.

If you check the box "Include contacts added to the list through a bulk import," contacts imported via Excel, TXT, or CSV files will also be considered.

This entry point is useful for scenarios such as:

  • Welcome emails

  • Onboarding sequences

If the contact is added to the list, even if they were previously deleted, they will re-enter the flow.
