How to Add, Edit, and Manage Images Using the Improved Drag & Drop Editor

With MDirector’s improved Drag & Drop Editor, you can easily add, edit, and delete images in your email marketing templates.

Before You Start: Basic Recommendations

• All the images you upload are automatically stored in your MDirector account. The available storage depends on your subscription plan:

PLAN	STORAGE LIMIT

MD TOTAL	2 GB

Uploading Images

You can upload images in two ways: from the Media Library or directly through an Image Block.

From the Media Library

The Media Library stores all your uploaded images so you can reuse them across templates.

1. Go to the left sidebar in the editor and click the cloud icon labeled Uploads.
2. Click the Upload Image button to open your file explorer and select the image you want to upload.
   You can also drag and drop an image into the upload area below the button.
3. Once uploaded, drag the image from your Media Library to any image block in your template.

*You can only upload one image at a time.

From an Image Block

1. Drag an Image Block into your template.
   
2. Click the block to select it.
3. In the left sidebar, click Upload Image.
4. Choose the image from your computer.
   
    
5. Once uploaded, you can configure options like alt text, destination link, and alignment.
   

Editing Images

To edit images without leaving the editor:

1. Click on the image block in your template.
2. In the left sidebar, click the Edit Image button.
   
3. An editor will open with options to crop, resize, add text, or apply filters.
   
4. Once you're done editing, click Apply in the top right corner to make the changes visible.
   
5. Don’t forget to click Save to make your edits permanent.
   

Deleting Images

To delete images from the editor:

1. In the editor’s left sidebar, click the cloud icon to open the Media Library.
   
2. Find the image you want to delete.
3. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the image.
4. Select Delete.
   

Creating Images with AI

Our enhanced editor allows you to generate images using artificial intelligence:

1. In the left menu, click Images.
2. Click the "See the Magic" button.
   
3. Enter a description of the image you want to create (your prompt).
   
4. Choose from suggested prompts or click Proceed Anyway to use your own.
   
5. You can either choose a style for your image or continue without selecting one by clicking the 'Generate' button.
   
6. The tool will generate several images—choose the one you like best. You can edit the prompt and generate more if needed.
   
7. All AI-generated images are saved automatically in your Media Library, ready to drag into your template.
   

Creative Commons Image Gallery

The enhanced editor includes a gallery of royalty-free images you can use freely:

1. Click the image icon in the left sidebar.
   
2. Use the search bar to find what you need.
   
3. Drag and drop the image that best fits your design into your template.
