The automatic sendings are programmable sendings of Email and SMS, they are executed fulfilling certain actions or criteria.
To access the automatic sending section you have to follow the following path in our menu:
1. In the left side menu Email/SMS Marketing, in the Settings section, go to the Auto Deliveries tab.
2. Before programming an automatic sending, the first thing we need is a sending in draft state, which will be the one used to perform this action, for example as shown below.
In order for this sending to be used as an automatic sending, it must have been completed up to step 6 of the sending "Schedule campaign" or step 3 "Schedule campaign" if we are talking about SMS (once we are in this step we exit the sending by clicking for example on any menu at the top, there is no need to program or send it from this step or option).
The types of automatic sending that can be programmed in MDirector are the following:
1.- Welcome Email. Automatic mailings by subscription.
These are mailings that are sent when a new contact registers to one of our lists via API, via Landing Optimizer, via a contact form or via a plugin that allows to synchronize new contact registrations (WordPress, Magento, Prestashop, Cloud Store).
To activate it the first thing we have to do is click on the "Add campaign" button.
A. In the first drop-down menu we will choose the sending in draft status that we want to be executed.
B. You will be able to confirm your choice with the yellow check and the automatic shipment will be activated:
C.- When you have selected the shipment, an icon with a negative sign will appear to the right (-), which is used to cancel the action of adding the subscription campaign.
Keep in mind the following details:
* If the mailing that we activate as automatic does not have segmentation in step "5. Subscribers" of the mailing, it will be sent to any subscriber that we receive in any list of our subaccount.
** If the automatic sending has segmentation in step “5. Subscribers” it will be sent only to that list and that segmentation.
2.- Auto campaigns for unsubscription.
These sendings are made when a new contact unsubscribes to one of our lists via API or by means of a plugin that allows to synchronize new contact unsubscriptions.
To activate it the first thing we have to do is click on the "Add campaign" button.
The rest of the options are the same as in the previous section "Automatic sending by subscription".
3.- Automatic campaigns by purchase. Confirm purchase.
These are shipments that are made when a completed purchase arrives in our system. These purchases are synchronized through our sales API. To see more info about our sales API you can consult the tab “API Info > API Sales” in the Settings section that you can find in the Email/SMS Marketing menu.
To activate it the first thing to do is to click on the "Add campaign" button.
The rest of the options are the same as in the previous section "Automatic sending by subscription".
4.- Automatic campaign by date.
The automatic sendings by date allow taking a date of origin or reference, to send an email or SMS in a time interval in a unique or repetitive way. The options that MDirector presents to configure these sendings are the following ones.
A.- In the first drop-down menu you can select the draft campaign to be sent.
B.- In the second drop-down menu you can choose the date that will be used as a reference for the sending. There are the following default options: date of birth, registration date, last open and last click.
C.- Time interval in which the sending will be done with respect to the previous date set, for example: an interval of one week from the registration date indicates that an email or SMS will be sent to each contact one week after registration.
D - The next option is the number of days the sending will be repeated compared to the interval set earlier.
E - Repeat sending, for example: we create an automatic sending by date of birth and with yearly interval, if we choose Repeat -> “YES” in the drop-down menu, an 'email or SMS will be sent every year with respect to the contact's birthday date.
F - With the 'check' button you activate automatic submission.
G - With the negative sign (-) button you cancel the entry of a new automatic submission.
Stop, edit and reactivate an automatic submission.
* Stop an auto delivery.
This can be done from the “Auto Delivery” tab in the Settings section, with the minus sign button, or from the Campaigns section by clicking on the three vertical dots > Stop.
** Edit an auto submission.
Once the auto delivery is stopped the “edit” campaign option will be enabled and we could then change the subject, template, etc.
*** Reactivate an automatic submission.
If we stop the auto delivery from the “Campaigns” section, we can reactivate it again from the same section, clicking on the three vertical dots > Activate.
