Álex García

What is it?

A favicon —short for favorite icon— is a small graphic icon that visually represents a brand or website. In the context of email marketing, the favicon plays an important role in reinforcing the visual identity of the company sending the emails or hosting personalized landing pages.

How to upload your favicon to MDirector

To upload your favicon to MDirector, go to the Email Marketing service from the side menu and select the Settings section.

You’ll land on the Settings tab, which is the same one from which you can import the favicon.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the relevant option. Click on Select file and upload your favicon from there.

What format should the file be in?

To upload your favicon to MDirector, make sure it’s in .ico format. Also, keep in mind that the recommended size for standard resolutions is 32x32 pixels. You can also use 16x16 for older browsers or 48x48 for high-resolution displays.

As for file size, it’s best to keep it light. Ideally, it should not exceed 100 KB.

If the icon has a non-square shape, make sure the background of the image is transparent.
