FTP information

María Rico

This service consists of an FTP where the user leaves files on our system so that it can process the subscriptions, modifications, substitutions, unsubscriptions and blocked.

You should leave the files in the FTP under the directory “subscribers”.

The files can either be CSV marked with "," or zip files containing only one CSV file.

The files should have a specific classification which will determine its treatment and objective.  The maximum file size allowed is 100MB

The classifications shoud be as follows:

<TR>_<LI>_<NAME>.<EXTENSION>

Where <TR> determines the treatment that will be given to the file meaning the following possibilities:

- AM: (AM = subscriptions/modifications = the file will contain subscriptions and/or modifications of subscribers and will be processed as such). Example: AM_2_myFile.csv

The prefix 'AM' has additional letters added to apply modifiers.
t: replace tags
r: replace the full list of contacts
f: replace FPS (freeParams, i.e., custom fields)
x: allow uploading unsubscribes

They are cumulative, for example:

amtfx_1_myFile.csv ==> This function imports contacts, replaces tags, custom fields, and allows uploading unsubscribes.
amr_1_myFile.csv ==> Deletes all contacts within the list and adds all from the file.

Another example: If we want to delete the tags of all users, simply upload a file WITHOUT tags, and mark them to be replaced: amt_1_myFile.csv

- BA: (BA = unsubscription = the file will contain already existing subscribers in your database, and when they unsubscribe, they will no longer appear in the file and would be added to Blocked subscriber list).

BO: (deleted) - This will delete from the indicated list the emails or mobile phone numbers contained in the file

<LI> The list determines where the specified treatment is carried out. This is a numeric identifier where 1 refers to the list "General".

The format of subscriber’s files header is the one described in the web tool, section Import Contact Files. The unsubscriptions file and blocked file must contain a header together with the field EMAIL.

At the end of the process our system will send an email to the company account that was set up along with with a summary of the results. In the email we will attach all the relevant reports of the operation.

Similarly, if an error occurs during the import, an email will be sent to that email address containing the details of it.

The files, once processed, will appear in the same FTP folder with a prefix added to their name:

"OK_" if they have been successfully imported.
"PROC_" if they have been successfully processed.
"ERR_" if an error has occurred and therefore could not be processed.
".in." is a prefix added to files that have not been transferred correctly to the folder and therefore are not processed.

NOTE: Files are kept on the FTP server for 30 days. Clients are advised to save logs and monitor processes within a shorter period. A TLS encryption of version >= 1.2 is required to access it.

Activation of the FTP service is done upon the client's request to their support agent or to the email address soporte@mdirector.com.
