Managing MDirector Subaccounts

María Rico

In MDirector, you have the possibility to create subaccounts within the same account. These subaccounts have their own database, their own deliveries independently, without being mixed with those of other subaccounts. In addition, not all users will have access to all subaccounts, but permissions will be assigned as needed. To learn how to manage these permissions, please refer to this article: https://mdtr.io/KHNnm.

To see, create and edit subaccounts in MDirector, please do the following:

Create subaccounts

1. Click on "My MDirector account".

2. Click on "Subaccounts".

3. To create subaccounts, click on "Create subaccount".

4. Fill in the required information fields and click "Save". *

5. Edit again the subaccount to assign the necessary services and save changes

* IMPORTANT: When creating a subaccount, users are not granted access to it by default. You must go to the USERS tab and edit the user to allow visibility of the newly created subaccount. You will be able to grant permissions for the subaccount and the corresponding services, as indicated in this article: https://mdirector.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201885581-Management-of-user-profiles-for-MDirector.

Delete subaccounts

1. Click on "My MDirector account".

2. Click on "Subaccounts".

3. To delete a subaccount, click on  the Bin next to the one you wish to remove and confirm the action by clicking on "Yes, delete subaccount".

Edit subaccounts

1. Click on "My MDirector account".

2. Click on the "Subaccounts" tab.

3. Click on the "Edit" button next to the subaccount you wish to modify.

4. The same form that you used when creating the subaccount will now open. Here, you can modify the data (name, email, phone number, address, country, zip code, state, city, time zone, and sector) by rewriting the fields. Decide in which product you want this subaccount to be active under "Subaccount status" by toggling the switches to activate or deactivate them.

5. Don't forget to click "Save".

* IMPORTANT: The sender assigned to a new sub-account at the time of its creation will be the same as the oldest sub-account. To change it, please contact soporte@mdirector.com, providing the name and identifier of the account, the new sub-account, and the sender to be assigned. If the domain or subdomain you are going to use is new, remember that you must configure it as explained here: https://mdtr.io/vRGTg.
