CNAME records customise the names of the domain by associating an alias name with an authentic or canonical domain name.
CNAME records come from the word "Canonical Name"
When we surf the Internet there are pages that have CNAME records. These types of records differ from others because when translating the name it does not return an IP like other types of DNS records. Instead it returns another name, which will be translated by the corresponding IP.
A CNAME record can used only to point towards a domain o towards a subdomain but never to the full route of a specific file.
