The 'send an email to the contact or to another recipient' node is an action that can be added to a Marketing Automation flow to send an email as a result of a previous stage in the flow. This email can be sent either to the contact participating in the flow or to a different recipient. This feature is especially useful, for example, if you want to receive a notification each time a contact is added to a list.
Before adding this step to the flow, you need to create the email in the Email Marketing module and leave it in draft status without sending it. If you're not sure how to do this, you can check out this article: https://mdtr.io/mTa3c
Important: Once you select the campaign for the flow, it will automatically change to Active status and can no longer be edited. If you need to change or modify the campaign, you must follow the detailed instructions in the following article: https://mdtr.io/vK90S
To add the step to the flow, click the '+' button and select the 'send an email to the contact or to another contact' option from the actions category.
A window will then open where you’ll need to select the campaign and the corresponding email.
In this window, you'll find two available options via checkboxes:
-
'Send a hidden copy of this email': if you check this option, a blind copy (BCC) of the email will be sent to the address you specify, in addition to being sent to the contact.
-
'Send to a recipient other than the contact': if you enable this option, the email will not be sent to the contact in the flow, but to another address you define. This is the right option if you want to receive a notification instead of the contact receiving the email. If you need both the user to receive one email and you to receive a different one as a notification, you should set up two separate steps in the flow.
