Adding a step to a Marketing Automation flow: wait for a specified period of time

María Rico

The wait for a specified period of time node allows you to define how long the system should wait before executing the next step in the flow. Including this type of node is recommended to prevent actions from being executed immediately and to allow a buffer of time between steps.

You can set the waiting period in minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months.

To configure it, follow these steps:

  1. Click the "+" sign within the flow.

  2. Select the option wait for a specified period of time.

  3. Define the unit and duration of the waiting time you need—minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. Click "Add."

Each time a contact reaches this step, they will pause for the amount of time you’ve configured before continuing to the next step in the flow.
